lyrics
He waits in line
They watch the tide
The ship has sunk 12 feet
All to do is stand is disbelief
There was a curse,
on board that ship
It would not just sink
Accusing eyes blink ͚
'He͛s our man!
It͛s Jonah, he did curse our ship!'
'But wait now, I͛m just a man!'
No good his fate was sealed
Curse upon the sea
He takes the lives of men
Jonah͛s his name!
But he does not foresee
The pain he inflicts on them
It͛s just a name!
Is it just a name?
Cast Jonah to the sea!
He held his hands up
Shields his blame
It is just a name,
'Don͛t cast me to sea!'
His teary eyes They told no lies
But they would not give in
They punished him
'He͛s our man!
It͛s Jonah, he did curse our ship!'
'But wait now, I͛m just a man!'
No good his fate was sealed
The ocean calls
He must yield
Curse upon the sea
He takes the lives of men
Jonah͛s his name!
But he does not foresee
The pain he inflicts on them
It͛s just a name!
Is it just a name?
Cast Jonah to the sea!
It's not a name!
Take his life,
His fame
He͛s crushed under the waves
He͛s gone,
His fate,
Far away!
Curse upon the sea
He takes the lives of men
Jonah͛s his name!
But he does not foresee
The pain he inflicts on them
It͛s just a name!
Is it just a name?
Cast Jonah to the sea!

What a fantastic record, great riffs, with memorable songs and when you finish the album you want to listen to it all again, at least I did. The vocals are the highlight for me and is what grabbed my attention initially, damn good stuff. dimeraraven
Heart, hope, and humility come together with stellar songwriting and performances to make a uniquely uplifting and wonderful power metal album. bigzoinks
Alestorm return with another batch of rollicking pirate metal. Swinging, sawing keys, “yo-ho-ho” sing-along choruses, and riffs for days. Bandcamp New & Notable May 29, 2017
I ended up discovering these guys when browsing a local record shop. The cover alone caught my attention which led me to pick it up. After giving the record a spin, I was hooked immediately. Great riffs and instrumentation, and the Elder Scrolls references are a nice touch. Looking forward to what these guys bring to the table next. caffeinatedmetalhead
